Crook steals more than $1K worth of clothing from Carter’s in Ridgewood

Police from the 104th Precinct are searching for a man who stole over $1,000 in clothing from Carter’s clothing store in Ridgewood on July 4. 

Police say the suspect entered the Carter’s located at 57-21 Myrtle Ave. in Ridgewood on Tuesday, July 4, and stole various items from the children’s clothing store that was valued at over $1,000. Officers were informed of the incident after responding to a 911 call at approximately 11:58 a.m., police said.

The perpetrator’s whereabouts are unknown, according to authorities.

The crook is described as a male with a dark complexion who is approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall with short black hair and brown eyes.  He was last seen wearing a white shirt, black shorts and red shoes, police said.
