CVS Launches CVS Pharmacy y más to Cater to Growing Hispanic Community in Jackson Heights and Ridgewood

CVS Pharmacy in Ridgewood has been rebranded CVS Pharmacy y más (Google Maps)

Dec. 1, 2020 By Allie Griffin

Two CVS Pharmacy stores in Queens have been renamed to “CVS Pharmacy y más” to cater to the growing Hispanic community.

The CVS stores in Ridgewood and Jackson Heights were transformed to CVS Pharmacy y más stores in mid November and offer brands and products specifically for Hispanic shoppers.

The stores are two of 12 CVS locations that have been rebranded across the tri-state area in the recent weeks.

The specialty stores offer more than 1,500 products from trusted Hispanic brands, such as Iberia Foods, Yaucono, Fabuloso, Tio Nacho, Pilon and Café La Llave.

The stores also have bilingual staff members and signage for Spanish-speaking customers.

CVS Pharmacy has opened more than 200 CVS Pharmacy y más stores designed specifically for local Hispanic communities across the country since 2015.

“Our CVS Pharmacy y más stores have been hugely beneficial to providing a more inclusive environment and value-based personalized selection for our Hispanic customers,” said Mayra Boitel, Vice President, Chief Merchant of Alternative Formats at CVS Health.

“Customers can access familiar brands they already know and love, speak with a bilingual staff who can clearly answer any questions about their medication regimen, and easily navigate throughout the store to find what they need quickly.”

The two new CVS y más locations are located at:

329-339 Wyckoff Ave. in Ridgewood

89-11 Northern Blvd. in Jackson Heights

I agree with everything you wrote. So many are here for years and never learn a word of English and why should they. The country bends over backwards to accommodate them. There is no excuse for this.

Heaven forbid people who are welcomed in this country learn English so that we can stop catering to everybody that comes here! I’m so sick and disgusted by “for English press 1”. My grandparents came here on a ship (not luxury liner) through Ellis Island and learned the language and acclimated to THIS country. This country didn’t cater to them.

Growing hispanic in Ridgewood ?. This location has been hispanic since I was a kid. It’s basically a extension of Bushwick. This article is trash and im sure the hispanic community doesn’t need any change in name to CVS. They know what it is.

Queens to host new memorial in Whitestone honoring 99 post-9/11 fallen service members

Queens Borough President Donovan Richards joined Mayor Eric Adams at City Hall on Tuesday to unveil the initial designs for the new $5 million memorial on the Whitestone waterfront that will honor the 99 fallen post-9/11 service members from New York City who made the ultimate sacrifice during their service in Afghanistan and Iraq. The “Flames of Honor” memorial will be designed by artist Douwe Blumberg and built in Queens.

“Our fallen soldiers gave their last measure of devotion defending the American Dream, and we could not call ourselves the greatest city on the globe if we did not give them the tribute they deserve,” Adams said. “With this memorial, we will honor a new generation of souls who gave their lives far too early in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and say ‘thank you’ to our service members and veterans every day of the year with a beautiful space for remembrance and reflection.”
