Duo Crash Lamborghini After Fleeing Police During Traffic Stop in Astoria

Two men crashed an expensive sports car in Astoria this morning when fleeing officers who pulled them over in a traffic stop.

Officers pulled over the pair in a yellow 2010 Lamborghini Gallardo for a minor traffic infraction just before 4 a.m. at the corner of 37th Avenue and 21st Street, police said.

During the interaction with police, the driver of the Lamborghini suddenly sped off.

The driver then crashed the car into two parked SUVs down the road at 38th Avenue and 30th Street, police said.

Both men fled the scene of the collision and left the Lamborghini behind. They ran off southbound on 29th Street, police said.

The yellow Lamborghini has not been reported stolen.
