The new Court Square store, located at 25-30 Jackson Ave., will have a grand opening celebration on Saturday, July 13.

To celebrate the grand opening, shoppers at the Long Island City location will receive a special limited edition tote bag with their purchases. Additionally, Chip City will be present, giving away complimentary cookies to visitors.

As part of Warby Parker’s tradition of celebrating each new store with unique local artwork, the Queens stores will feature designs by New York-based artist Edward Ubiera.

Known for his vibrant, color-blocked palette and geometric designs, Ubiera has created custom illustrations that highlight iconic local elements such as architecture, music, sports and the subway. His artwork will be prominently displayed at both the Long Island City and Queens Center Mall locations.

The chain operates more than 200 stores across the U.S. and Canada and is committed to social responsibility. Through its “Buy a Pair, Give a Pair” program, Warby Parker donates a pair of glasses to someone in need for every pair sold.
