Flushing Man is Dead One Week After Being Shot on Corona Street: NYPD

A 27-year-old man is dead one week after he was shot on a Corona Street, according to police.

Jordan Gilliam succumbed to his injuries Wednesday following a Dec. 15 shooting where he was hit in the right shoulder and buttocks while on the corner of 97th Street and 57th Avenue at around 8:30 p.m.

A second man, 37, was also shot during the incident—with bullet wounds to both his thighs. He is expected to survive.

Gilliam, who lived on 34th Avenue in Flushing, was rushed to NYC Health & Hospitals/Elmhurst by EMS where he later died. The second man was also transported NYC Health & Hospitals/Elmhurst where he is in stable condition.

There have been no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
