A Flushing man whose motorcycle collided with a car near Citi Field Thursday died yesterday from his injuries.
The victim, identified as 27-year-old Andres Guzman-Mejia, was traveling westbound on Roosevelt Avenue at around 9 a.m. Thursday when his 2011 Kawasaki motorcycle collided with a 2003 Honda Civic at the intersection of 126th Street-Seaver Way and Roosevelt Avenue, according to police.
Guzman-Mejia struck the rear passenger door of the Honda, which was also traveling westbound on Roosevelt Avenue.
He was ejected off the motorcycle and hit one of the elevated train structure pillars, police said. He was unconscious when responding officers arrived at the scene, and was taken to New York-Presbyterian Queens with trauma to his head.
The 52-year-old man who was driving the Honda remained at the scene and was not arrested. An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
