Forest Hills Store Sells $58,000 Winning Lottery Ticket

A Forest Hills shop has sold a winning lottery ticket worth nearly $58,000.

The winning Take 5 ticket was purchased at Yellowstone Convenience Store, located at 71-69 Yellowstone Blvd., according to the New York Lottery.

The lucky winner matched all five numbers to clinch the top prize of $57,834.50.

It comes the day after a bodega in Auburndale sold a winning Take 5 ticket to one of its fortunate customers.

L.Y. Wilson Corner Store, located at 46th Ave. and 172nd St., sold the winning ticket for Sunday’s draw. The ticket carried a top prize of $53,757.50.

Take 5 drawings are televised every night at 11:21 p.m. To win the top prize, players must match all five numbers drawn. Numbers range from 1 to 39.

Police from the 106th Precinct in Ozone Park are actively searching for the driver of a sports car responsible for injuring an officer during a traffic stop on Sunday evening.

The driver of a black Corvette was traveling westbound on Rockaway Boulevard when officers pulled him for speeding just after 9 p.m. near the intersection of Centerville Street and 109th Avenue in South Ozone Park. A Maspeth man who was caught by transit cops vaping inside a Brooklyn subway station in January is facing as much as 75 years to life in prison for stabbing a Dutch Kills man to death four years ago.

Luis Hernandez, 36, of 56th Street, was arraigned Tuesday in Queens Supreme Court on a seven-count indictment charging him with murder, gang assault and other crimes in the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man and the attempted murder of two others in Astoria in 2020.
