Police are looking for a knife-wielding suspect wanted for slashing and robbing a man inside a Kew Gardens subway station Wednesday.

The suspect approached a 26-year-old man at around 8 a.m. while the victim was standing on the southbound F train platform inside the Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike station, police said.

The perpetrator then took out a knife and slashed the victim multiple times in the face, arm, and back, according to police.

He then stole the man’s cellphone and fled the station to parts unknown, police said.

The victim was transported by EMS to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.

Police on Thursday released images of the suspect wanted for questioning. The assailant, described by police as a dark-skinned male, was last seen wearing a cream-colored Adidas t-shirt and jeans.
