The police are looking for a group of suspects who allegedly assaulted and robbed a straphanger on the 7 train in Queens Sunday.

The suspects allegedly approached a 34-year-old man after he got on a Manhattan-bound 7 train at the Main Street station in Flushing at around 4:30 p.m. They allegedly began to harass the victim before one of the suspects punched the man and discharged a gel shot imitation pistol toward him.

The suspects then tried to take the victim’s gold chain but were unsuccessful. The 34-year-old was able to evade the alleged thieves and move to another car toward the front of the train.

The victim exited the train at the 74th Street and Roosevelt station but was followed by the group who approached him again and took his prescription eyeglasses and smacked him across the face.

The suspects, believed to be in their late teens to early 20s, then fled the scene and were last seen boarding a Queens-bound F train. The victim did not sustain any injuries.

Police released a photo of the individuals being sought.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
