Police are looking for a man who beat and robbed an Elmhurst resident in the lobby of the victim’s building last week.

The suspect followed the victim — a 57-year-old man– into the lobby of his apartment building near 88th Street and Roosevelt Avenue at 12:13 a.m. on Thursday, police said.

Once inside, the suspect repeatedly punched the victim in the head and took his wallet–which contained $40–before running off, police said.

The victim suffered pain and swelling to his head and was transported to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition, police said.
