Man Fatally Shot in Front of Queens Village House Wednesday: NYPD

A man was fatally shot in front of a Queens Village house Wednesday night.

The police received a call at 10:14 p.m. that shots had been fired in the vicinity of 221st Street and 94th Drive.

Upon arrival, officers from the 105th Precinct discovered a 37-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the stomach in front of a home at 94-55 221st St.

EMS rushed the victim to North Shore University Hospital-Manhasset, where he was pronounced dead. The man’s identity has not been released, pending family notification

No arrests have been made at this time.

Isaiah Stokes, 45, of 62nd Road, was convicted on March 7 of murder in the second degree and other related crimes for gunning down 37-year-old Tyrone Jones as he sat in a parked Jeep Cherokee waiting on a friend to arrive for lunch. The fatal shooting was in retaliation for an altercation between the two men at the victim’s birthday bash months earlier.
