Police are looking for a man who allegedly smashed the front window of a Flushing jewelry store in March and then took off with $32,000 worth of merchandise from the display window.
The NYPD released surveillance footage yesterday of the suspect breaking the glass window of Luk Fook Jewellery in New World Mall, located at 136-20 Roosevelt Ave. The incident took place just before 4 p.m. on March 26.
The suspect then fled the scene and ran into a residential building at 40-04 Bowne Street, before leaving southbound on a bicycle, police say.
The man is described as having a beard with a mustache, and was last seen wearing a blue cap, a dark colored jacket and beige paints, with black sneakers and a dark colored backpack.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
