A number of apartments are now available in a modern Astoria rental building where the landlord is offering flexible lease terms and units that are both furnished and unfurnished.

The apartments are in a newly-constructed six story, 15-unit building located at 35-16 Astoria Blvd., just three blocks from the subway. The elevator building has a modern lobby and amenities such as a roof-top deck.

Many of the units are turnkey ready—fully furnished and ready for immediate occupancy. The length of the lease is optional—ranging from six months to two years. In some cases, the apartments can be rented on a month-to-month base.

“People don’t know where they are going to be in 12 months,” said Luca DiCiero, who is the founder of NYSpace Finders, an Astoria-based real estate firm in charge of leasing the property. “Many people want the flexibility to be able to move in and move out easily.”

DiCiero said the building comes with all the modern fixtures and features floor-to-ceiling windows, stainless steel appliances, full bathrooms and a roof top deck.

The furnished units have all the modern comforts from a California bed to outdoor furniture. “They are a turnkey—plug and play,” DiCiero.

DiCiero said that the landlord’s goal is to promote flexibility. He said people can choose unfurnished apartments with longer leases—which come with rental concessions– or something much shorter.

The building consists of 10 1-bedroom apartments and five two-bedroom units, with rents starting at $2,200.

The property owners are also looking for a medical practitioner or a child care provider—or even a non-profit organization—to rent space on the ground floor.

The building owners— Matthew Schwartz and Scott Minuta—said that they are offering the apartments at an opportune time for renters

“This is an opportunity for people to move into a desirable location at a time when the rental market has softened,” Schwartz said. “Many people who have wanted to be in the area for some time will be able to afford it.”
