A new Burlington clothes and home décor store has officially opened its doors in Long Island City and customers can shop their favorite brands at discounted prices.

The national off-price retailer opened its new premises today at Plaza 48, located at 35-40 48th St., and store hours are Monday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The new store is occupying the space of the former Toys R Us and is selling ladies, men’s and children’s clothing as well as a selection of footwear.

There will be products for the home, a full range of baby items and other merchandise including gifts and accessories.

The new store has an expansive layout with wide check-out lanes to keep customers safe and to comply with COVID-19 prevention guidelines.

Social distancing rules will be in place and markings have been put down on the floors to remind customers to keep six feet apart.

Customers and staff are expected to wear masks and workers will be tasked with disinfecting and deep cleaning areas of the store including high-touch areas.

The store will also provide sanitization materials to customers like wipes for shopping carts.

The New Jersey-based retailer, formerly known as Burlington Coat Factory, operates over 700 stores across the nation. The Long Island City location will be its third in Queens, with the others being in Jamaica and at the Rego Center mall.
