A new COVID-19 testing facility opened at a pediatric urgent care center in Forest Hills on Monday.

PM Pediatrics at 70-20 Austin St. is offering testing to adults and children through appointments booked in advance.

Anyone interested in a test must be evaluated in advance to determine whether it is needed.

Residents can be evaluated by going on the PM Pediatrics telemedicine app, where a PM Pediatrics staffer will determine whether a test should be conducted. Additionally, patients 26 and younger can visit the Forest Hills office to be evaluated in person.

Once a test is completed, results are available in about two to four days.

PM Pediatrics, a national firm, has 16 COVID testing sites across the country–from California to New York. There are five testing sites in New York state–including the Forest Hills office.

Nationwide, the provider has conducted more than 2,000 tests for the virus in just three weeks.

“We continue to offer this incredibly popular, convenient and helpful service to all families, both to provide peace of mind and medical direction,” said Dr. Jeffrey Schor, co-CEO of PM Pediatrics.

PM Pediatrics also offers coronavirus guidance and consultation with doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants through its telemedicine app, Pediatrics Anywhere.

“Our PM Pediatrics Anywhere app is an excellent avenue for medical guidance, as well as a support for families maintaining social distancing practices by limiting trips out of the home,” Schor said.
