The police have identified a woman who was found stabbed to death inside a Flushing apartment last week.

The NYPD on Monday named Chen Fang, 55, as having been fatally stabbed inside an apartment building at 132-59 41st Rd.

Fang was found by responding police unconscious and with multiple stab wounds inside apartment 5B at around 7 a.m. Friday. She was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

Police say Fang lived in the apartment and was initially discovered by her roommate.

The NYPD is still trying to piece together the circumstances surrounding Fang’s death and is treating the incident as a homicide.

There have been no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.

The police did not provide any further details.

Councilmember Sandra Ung released a statement following the stabbing.

“I was shocked to hear about the horrific murder of a woman in an apartment in downtown Flushing … and my thoughts are with the friends and family of the victim,” Ung said.

“My office has been in close contact with the 109th Precinct, and will continue to monitor the investigation into this tragic incident.”
