A new Paris Baguette franchise will open in Corona on Tuesday.

The café will open at 37-38 Junction Blvd. and will offer the same menu as its other eateries including large cakes, cake slices, cookies and yogurts. The bakery will also serve a wide range of baked breads and pastries as well as salads and gourmet sandwiches.

The franchise is owned by the proprietors of the Jackson Heights and Astoria Paris Baguette locations.

“We have gotten a lot of love since we opened in Jackson Heights four years ago,” said Meghna Negandhi, who co-owns the Corona franchise as well as the Jackson Heights store at 88-16 Northern Blvd.

Negandhi and her business partner Hetal Doshi also opened an Astoria location in 2021 at 31-08 30th Ave. They have brought on an additional partner for the Corona venture in Dhvanish Shah.

“We really feel like the community likes our product, so we see a lot of opportunity opening the new store,” Negandhi said.

Paris Baguette—a Korean-based company that offers French inspired baked goods—has more than 4,000 retail stores worldwide, including about 100 in the U.S.

There are a dozen stores in Queens, including bakeries in Sunnyside, Flushing, Bayside, Jackson Heights, Astoria, Long Island City, Auburndale, Rego Park, Forest Hills and Little Neck.

The bakery is known for making its food items in-store each day. The company also serves hot and cold coffees.

The Corona location is large, being 2,300 square feet in size with 44 seats.

Negandhi said she looks forward to opening and believes that Paris Baguette will do well in Corona since its residents have a festive, family spirt.

“We know families love to celebrate around here,” Negandhi said. “We love to open in neighborhoods that are family oriented.”
