Oct. 4, 2023 By Anthony Medina

Police from the 104th Precinct arrested the crook who allegedly pulled a man out of his vehicle and drove off in Middle Village on Monday.

Police say a 39-year-old man called 911 after he was forcibly removed from his vehicle while in the driver’s seat of his 2018 Ford Explorer in the vicinity of Metropolitan Avenue and 78th Street, on Monday, Oct. 2.

Officers quickly canvassed the area and discovered Dave Theodore, 31, of Roselle, New Jersey, operating the stolen car, police said. Officers then performed a car stop and took Theodore into custody, police said. The vehicle was returned to its owner.

Theodore faces a slew of charges, including robbery, grand larceny auto, criminal possession of stolen property and unauthorized use of a vehicle, police sources said.

An iPad inside of the victim’s car helped officers track down the crook, according to police.
