Police Looking for Man Who Robbed Astoria Bank

Police are looking for a man who robbed a bank in Astoria last week.

The suspect walked into a Citibank, located at 22-16 31st St., at around 9:30 a.m. Thursday and handed a note to a teller demanding cash, police said.

The 26-year-old male teller complied and handed over approximately $600. The man ran with the cash northbound along 31st Street, according to police.

Surveillance video from the incident shows the suspect wearing a white hard hat–used for construction– and knee pads.

Anyone with information in regard to the identity of the suspect is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
