An elderly Ridgewood man was sentenced Wednesday to more than two decades in prison for the fatal stabbing of his daughter-in-law on a city street last year.

Dahe Lin, 77, was sentenced to 21-years in prison after he pleaded guilty to manslaughter last month for the killing that took place outside his Ridgewood home.

Lin was first seen choking his 50-year-old daughter-in-law Wen Ying He outside the home they shared in Ridgewood on the morning of March 28, 2019, according to the charges.

A witness intervened and pulled Lin off the victim. The elderly man went back into the house — only to return with a kitchen knife.

He then plugged the blade into the woman’s neck repeatedly until a second witness flagged down a passing police car, the charges state.

Lin was arrested and his daughter-in-law was rushed to an area hospital, where she died of her stab wounds days later.

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz called the woman’s murder “unimaginably horrific.”

“This defendant viciously attacked the wife of his son and murdered her on a public street in plain view of witnesses,” Katz said. “This was an unimaginably horrific crime.”

Lin will serve 21 years in prison followed by five years’ post release supervision.
