Police are searching for a suspect who snatched a cell phone from a man inside a Long Island City subway station Tuesday.
The perpetrator grabbed a 55-year-old man’s phone from his hands just before 2 p.m. while he was on the southbound R platform at the Queens Plaza subway station, police said.
The suspect then ran out of the station on foot eastbound along Queens Boulevard, according to police.
Police describe the assailant as male, black and with a white mask over his face. He wore a white long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.
Police released video footage of the man wanted for questioning.
