Police are searching for a man and a woman who burglarized a furniture store in Flushing Tuesday and stole around $40,000 cash.

The man broke a lock on the door of New Happy Home Furniture Store, located at 43-02 Main St., at around 10:15 p.m. and went inside the premises while the woman kept lookout, police said.

He took around $40,000 cash from a desk and the pair then fled the scene on foot with their ill-gotten gains, according to police.

The suspects are described as being between 18 and 20 years of age, police said.

Police released CCTV footage of the perpetrators taken at the location shortly after the incident.
