Nov. 6, 2023 By Bill Parry A Brooklyn man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Springfield Gardens early Sunday morning after he wiped out on his motorcycle on the Belt Parkway, according to the NYPD. Police from the 105th Precinct in Queens Village responded to a 911 call of a vehicle collision on the Belt Parkway in the vicinity of Springfield Boulevard at around 1:18 a.m. on Nov. 5. Oct. 30, 2023 By Bill Parry A woman was killed and a man was injured during a chain reaction crash in Springfield Gardens on Sunday, Oct. 29. Police from the 105th Precinct responded to a 911 call of a vehicle collision at the intersection of Guy R. Brewer Boulevard and Rockaway Boulevard just before 2 p.m. on Oct. 29 and found a 54-year-old woman unconscious and unresponsive. EMS arrived to the crash site and transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. Her identity is pending family notification. Crooks make off with $90K worth of jewelry after breaking into Rosedale home

Oct. 23, 2023 By Ethan Marshall Police are searching for the two crooks who broke into a Rosedale resident’s home before attacking and robbing him and making off with more $90,000 worth of jewelry on Thursday, Oct. 19. According to police from the 105th Precinct, at approximately 12:40 p.m., a 36-year-old male was in his home, located the vicinity of 243rd Street and 140th Avenue, when the two unknown individuals forcibly entered the premises. While much of it follows a similar trend to last week’s stats, there are some notable changes in trends. Rape cases in northern Queens rose from 15 to 20 year-over-year.
