Sep. 22, 2023 By Bill Parry Police from the 105th Precinct in Queens Village are looking for a lone gunman who opened fire on an MTA bus in Springfield Gardens early Thursday morning. The Q3 bus was heading southbound on Farmers Boulevard at around 3:50 a.m. on Sept. 21, when the suspect walked into the intersection at 147th Avenue, pulled out a firearm and allegedly fired a single shot that struck the front door of the bus, an NYPD spokeswoman said. Sep. 12, 2023 By Bill Parry Two women were menaced and robbed by a BB gun-toting stranger inside their Queens Village hotel room on Sunday afternoon, according to the NYPD. Police from the 105th Precinct in Queens Village responded to a report of the incident that went down at around 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 10, when the suspect knocked on their guest room door at the Casa Azul Hotel, located at 220-16 Jamaica Ave. A 42-year-old woman opened the door and the assailant forced his way inside the guest room, according to authorities. Sep. 1, 2023 By Bill Parry Police from the 105th Precinct in Queens Village are looking for two suspects who attempted to break into a home located near the Mount Sinai Seventh Day Adventist Church on Aug. 30. The two crooks were caught on camera as they cased the joint near the intersection of 93rd Avenue and 217th Street just before 6 p.m. The two men attempted to enter the residence but were thwarted from gaining entry and ran off empty-handed southbound on 217th Street toward Jamaica Avenue, police said.
