Nov. 29, 2023 By Bill Parry Police from the 110th Precinct in Elmhurst and Transit District 20 are looking for the three teenage boys who allegedly threw ice at an on-duty MTA subway conductor as she was operating the train doors at the Woodhaven Boulevard subway station during the afternoon of Saturday, Nov. 18. Police say the three boys threw ice at her, striking her in the face before running out of the station in an unknown direction, police said. Nov. 27, 2023 By Bill Parry Police from the 111th Precinct in Bayside are looking for a man who burglarized a Bell Boulevard restaurant in broad daylight just blocks away from the station house last week. The suspect entered Laterna Estiatorio & Catering, located at 47-20 Bell Blvd. in Bayside, five blocks south of Northern Boulevard, through a backdoor just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Nov. 21, 2023 By Ethan Marshall The number of vehicles being stolen, categorized by the NYPD as grand larceny auto, has increased throughout Queens year-to-date, compared to the same period in 2022, according to the latest crime stats released by the NYPD. Grand larceny auto incidents are up 39.6% in northern Queens for the year through Nov. 19, rising from 1,718 incidents last year to 2,398 this year.
