Nov. 7, 2023 By Bill Parry A Middle Village man was arrested Sunday and booked at the 104th Precinct in Ridgewood in connection with two forcible touching incidents early last month, according to the NYPD. David Perez, 33, of 79th Street, was taken into custody on Nov. 5 for targeting women in two different police precincts on Wednesday, Oct. 5. Perez allegedly approached a 25-year-old woman as she was walking in the vicinity of Metropolitan Avenue and 65th Place in Middle Village at around 5:20 p.m. and grabbed the victim’s buttocks before running off in an unknown direction, police said….

Nov. 6, 2023 By Bill Parry Two men were shot and wounded in Auburndale and police from the 107th Precinct in Fresh Meadows are still looking for the gunman and his accomplice behind the shooting nearly a week later, according to the NYPD. The shooting went down just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31, when the two suspects were allegedly robbing a 28-year-old man in the vicinity of 161st Street and Jewel Avenue. Police officers rescue blind dog from ‘frigid’ Jamaica pond

Nov. 3, 2023 By Iryna Shkurhan On Halloween morning, when the temperature was hovering around 40 degrees, 911 calls reporting a dog drowning in Baisley Pond in Jamaica were relayed to local police.  Two officers from the 113th Precinct, which covers southeastern Queens, responded to the incident at 8:30 a.m. and successfully rescued Sparky, the 8-year old Border Collie. Nov. 3, 2023 By Bill Parry A T-Mobile store located near the Van Wyck Expressway in South Ozone Park was robbed at gunpoint in October and police from the 106th Precinct are still searching for two men who allegedly pulled off the heist. Police reported that, at around 6:20 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 23, a 23-year-old man was working in the corner storefront at 134-11 Rockaway Blvd. when two unidentified men entered the shop.
