Dec. 13, 2023 By Rachel Butler The Queens College Choral Society will take to the stage at the LeFrak Concert Hall in the Music Building on the Queens College Campus in Flushing on Saturday Dec. 16 for a festive evening of entertainment.  The evening will feature performances of Margaret Bonds’ ‘The Ballad of the Brown King’ and selections from G.F Handal’s coronation anthems. Dec. 11, 2023 By Rachel Butler The recent hit-and-run death of toddler Quintas Chen in Flushing brought back haunting memories for a Fresh Meadows couple 10 years after the death of their daughter in a similar accident. Amy Tam and Hsi-Pei Liao experienced the death of their 3-year-old child, Allison, on Oct. 6 2013, when she was struck down by an SUV while crossing the street holding her grandmother’s hand.  The incident occurred at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and Main Street.
