Three apartments in a newly-constructed building in Elmhurst are up for grabs through the city’s affordable housing lottery.

Three two-bedroom units at 41-53 77th St. are available through the lottery and cost $2,150 a month to rent. The lottery is for households that make 130 percent of the area median income.

Households of two to five people are eligible for the units if they make between $73,715 and $159,640 combined annually. A breakdown of the full income requirements is below.

Tenants are responsible for paying for electricity, which covers heat, hot water and the electric stove.

The units are located near the 7, E, F, M and R trains, as well as the Q53 and Q32 buses.

The deadline to apply for the lottery is July 22. Mailed-in applications must be postmarked by that date.

Those eligible can apply to the housing lottery online here.

The building owner will receive a tax exemption as a result of participating in the affordable housing lottery.

COVID-19 epicenter! Historic listing! Plus you get to pay for electricity, which covers heat, hot water and the electric stove! Another cool $250 a month. People are dying to get into this neighborhood!!! Why wait for the housing inventory to skyrocket when evictions start! Avoid the hassle of dealing with greedy landlords who will be forced to reduce rents to make any kind of income! These won’t last!

Oh, what a wonderful deal, “affordable” and everything. Especially with that leaning pole in front of your building ))
