Police from the 115th Precinct in Jackson Heights are looking for three men who attacked a 7 train rider on the night of Tuesday, July 23.

A 26-year-old man was riding on a Flushing-bound train that was approaching the 103rd Street-Corona Plaza subway station just before midnight, when he became embroiled in an argument with three strangers. The dispute escalated into violence when the three assailants began punching the victim throughout the body, police said.

The victim got off the 7 train after it pulled into the station while his attackers remained on board. He refused medical attention at the scene.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the three suspects. The main antagonist wore a black T-shirt with white details, blue jeans, a black Nike baseball cap and a black backpack. The second suspect wore a light blue long-sleeved Oxford shirt, white pants and a dark blue Yankees baseball cap on top of a second baseball cap. He had a black backpack and a second black bag slung over his shoulder. The third assailant wore a white long-sleeved Oxford shirt, black pants and white sneakers.

Anyone with information regarding this assault investigation is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at crimestoppers.nypdonline.org, or on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) @NYPDTips. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
