Three people, including a teenager, were shot in a drive-by shooting on June 29 in Woodhaven (Citizen App)

Three people were shot in a drive-by shooting last Tuesday in Woodhaven.

Police say the suspects opened fire from a car at around 7 p.m. near the corner of 77th Street and 88th Avenue, grazing a 22-year-old man in the head, while a 21-year-old male and a 19-year-old male were both struck in the right leg.

The victims were transported to Jamaica Hospital. Police did not provide any further updates on their condition.

No arrests have been made and police say the investigation is ongoing.

The shooting drew condemnation from Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar, who says she is in contact with the 102nd Precinct regarding the shootings.

“I condemn in the strongest of terms the outrageous and inexcusable drive-by shooting of three people,” said Rajkumar in a statement. “After decades of progress in reducing crime, we cannot and will not return to the ‘Bad Old Days.’”

Rajkumar’s comments follow a spate of shootings in the district. On June 15, there was a shooting in broad daylight at the corner of Jamaica Avenue and 90th Street when a 24-year-old man was shot in the hip. On May 23, a 35-year-old man was shot on 90th Street off Park Lane South.

“Gun violence has no place in our society, and I will do everything in my power to reverse the recent uptick in shootings,” Rajkumar said.

Anyone with information in regard to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM, or on Twitter @NYPDTips.

Funny these criminals get their hands on firearms illegally, and can’t even aim properly with them. Animals with guns. Awesome.

Ridgewood mother and daughter arrested for attacking woman over parking spot: NYPD

A Ridgewood mother and daughter were arrested Monday after they ambushed a young Black woman who tried to park her car in a spot in front of their apartment building that they frequently cordon off with garbage cans and traffic cones.

A family friend was standing at the northeast corner of Onderdonk Avenue and Putnam Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. when the 21-year-old Jada McPherson tried to park her car in the spot. The man placed a garbage can in her way. She drove off and circled the block multiple times. She tried to pull into the same spot one more time, but the man tried to stop her again. McPherson got out of her car to confront him, and an argument ensued.
