Councilman Holden, local partners donate over 200 backpacks to families in Maspeth

Aug. 30, 2023 By Anthony Medina Councilman Robert Holden, in collaboration with the Greater Ridgewood Youth Council and Crifasi Real Estate Realtors Andrew and Fran LaSala, hosted a back-to-school backpack giveaway outside of his district office on Tuesday, Aug. 29.  Nearby residents and locals began forming a line outside the councilman’s doors, on 58-38 69th St. in Maspeth hours before the event was set to start at noon, according to staffers. Alley Pond Park will be hosting the second annual Estuary Day celebration on Sept. 30.
