Police released video footage Monday of a man throwing a pregnant woman to the pavement and robbing her of her handbag in South Richmond Hill last month.

The video shows the suspect attacking the woman by pulling on her over-the-shoulder handbag as he walked by her on Liberty Avenue on March 9 at around 6:05 a.m.

The assailant then drags the woman onto the pavement near the intersection of 131st Street before grabbing the purse and running away from the scene westbound on Liberty Avenue, according to police and the video footage.

The mom-to-be, who was 14 weeks pregnant at the time, was transported by EMS to Jamaica Hospital with pains in her abdomen and cuts to her hands, according to police.

Her handbag contained credit cards and an I.D. but nothing of significant value, police said.

No arrests have been made. The assailant was wearing all black-colored clothes with a black hoody.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/
