Watch: Man Holds Up Ridgewood Bodega at Gunpoint

The police are looking for a man who held up a Ridgewood bodega at gunpoint Tuesday and made off with cash and cigarettes.

The gun-toting man allegedly entered Jimmy Deli and Grocery, located at 1683 Woodbine St., at around 11:50 p.m. and demanded that an employee hand over cash.

The employee, a 33-year-old man, complied and handed over $250 in cash and six packs of cigarettes. The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The perpetrator is described as being a heavy-set man in his late 20s. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater, black pants, and black and white sneakers.
