A 22-year-old woman is dead after the car she was riding in smashed into another vehicle near Forest Park Sunday.

The victim was in the rear passenger seat of a Toyota Corolla — with her 3-year-old son — when the driver collided head-on with a Toyota Camry at the intersection of Park Lane South and Mayfair Road near Forest Park just after 11 p.m., according to police.

The driver of the Corolla, the boy’s father, was traveling westbound on Park Lane South when he veered across a double yellow line and plowed into the Camry that was heading eastbound on Park Lane South, police said.

EMS were called to the scene and transported the 22-year-old woman to Jamaica Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Her identity has yet to be released, pending family notification.

The Corolla driver and his son were taken to Northwell Long Island Jewish Medical Center in stable condition. The driver, who suffered minor injuries, was later taken into police custody on suspicion of drunk driving.

The three-year-old boy was not injured, but was taken to hospital as a precaution, police said.

The driver of the Camry, 44, remained at the scene after the collision and he was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition with a shoulder injury, cops said.

The incident is under investigation, police said.
