A 62-year-old bodega worker was savagely beaten inside a corner deli at 63-20 Broadway in Woodside on Monday night.

Police from the 108th Precinct reported that on the night of June 17, a man walked into the store at 11:20 p.m. and brutally attacked the employee, punching him and, once he was on the floor, the assailant proceeded to kick him in the face multiple times. At one point, the perpetrator turned to leave the bodega, only to return to kick the victim in his face several more times until he lost consciousness, police said.

The brute fled the location in an unknown direction. EMS responded to the crime scene and rushed the victim to Elmhurst Hospital where he was listed in critical but stable condition.

The suspect is described as having a light complexion with blue and green dyed hair. He was last seen wearing a black shirt with red lettering and red and white sneakers. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
