Police are looking for a man who held a knife to a 64-year-old woman’s throat and demanded cash in South Richmond Hill last Saturday.
The suspect attempted to rob the woman as she walked along 120th Street near 103rd Avenue at 8:40 a.m., police said.
He approached the woman from behind and wrapped his arm around her neck. He then held a blade to her throat, dramatic video released by the NYPD shows.
The man ran off empty-handed when a car drove by, the video shows.
The victim was not injured and refused medical attention, police said.
Police described the suspect as a man with medium skin tone, approximately 20 to 35 years old, 5 foot 5 inches tall and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt, dark-colored pants, white sneakers, a green hat and a dark-colored mask.
