Duo sought for stealing 11 PlayStation 5 consoles, $400 cash in armed robbery of GameStop in Ridgewood

Police are searching for the two men who stole cash and several PlayStation 5 consoles from a GameStop in Ridgewood on Monday.

According to police, around 12:37 p.m. on March 27, the perpetrators entered a GameStop store located at 57-20 Myrtle Ave. in Ridgewood, within the confines of the 104th Precinct. Once inside, the suspects snatched seven PlayStation 5 bundles and four more PlayStation 5 consoles, police said. Additionally, one of the crooks flashed a firearm and grabbed $400 from the store’s register.

The duo fled the scene in a black Nissan Murano on Myrtle Avenue, police said.

No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

An off-duty NYPD cop from Briarwood was arrested on Thursday morning and booked at the 102nd Precinct in South Ozone Park for allegedly sending sexually explicit content via an online app to an undercover officer posing online as a 14-year-old girl.

Police Officer Travis DeSouza, 35, of Van Wyck Expressway, was arraigned in Queens Criminal Court on the night of April 24 on a criminal complaint charging him with attempted dissemination of indecent material to minors, official misconduct, and other related crimes, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced Friday.
