Santa Claus will be leading a bike ride through Jackson Heights and Corona for the fifth year in a row this Sunday.
The family-friendly “Santa Ride” involves a 3-mile costumed bike ride down the 34th Avenue bike lanes and is open to cyclists of all levels.
The ride will start at Travers Park, at 34th Avenue and 78th Street, at 9 a.m. on Dec. 6. Participants will meet at the park and bike along 34th Avenue to Junction Boulevard, before riding back to the park.
Event organizers will hand out free helmets at 9 a.m. and there will be treats for children at the end of the ride.
People can register for the event and learn more here.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in their best Christmas-themed costumes. However, attendees should not dress as Santa.
The fifth annual “Santa ride” is hosted by Ciclistas Latinoamericanos de NY. The group has set Dec. 12 as the rain date for the ride.
