The police released video footage Sunday of a man wanted for punching a straphanger inside the 74th Street/Roosevelt Avenue subway station last month.
The suspect was walking inside the station on July 15 at around 5:35 p.m. when the victim, a 37-year-old man, bumped into him on the stairs, according to police.
The assailant then became enraged, exchanged words with the victim and then allegedly punched him several times in the face, police said.
He then fled the station on foot toward Broadway and 77th Street.
The victim was transported by EMS to Elmhurst Hospital where he was treated for trauma to his face, police said.
The police released an image and video of the suspect. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, a black baseball cap and a black backpack.
