Police are looking for a man who allegedly grabbed a senior by the neck and robbed her inside her Rego Park building Tuesday.

The suspect approached a 72-year-old woman as she was checking the mail in her building lobby near 64th Avenue and 98th Street at around 12:30 p.m., police said.

The man allegedly grabbed the woman by the neck from behind and demanded she hand over her valuables. He then grabbed her jewelry and $60 before fleeing the building in an unknown direction, police said.

The victim suffered some pain and bruising and was treated on the scene.
