Woman Struck By 7-Train at 46th Street Station Thursday, Likely to Survive: NYPD

A woman in her 20s was struck by a No. 7 train after she jumped off the subway platform at the 46th Street train station onto the tracks, according to police.

The woman leaped off the platform onto the tracks at around 4:50 p.m., according to police, before being struck.

She was aided by Firefighters and EMS personnel who responded to the incident.

The woman, who has not been identified, was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and is expected to survive. Police said that they suspect no foul play.

The Manhattan-bound 7 train was temporarily halted following the incident.
