Parent association plants daffodil bulbs at Elmhurst school in honor of 9/11, COVID-19 victims

Nov. 16, 2023 By Rachel Butler Members of a school parent association in Queens planted more than 1,000 daffodil bulbs earlier this month at an Elmhurst school to honor the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and COVID-19. Parents and students from the P.S./I.S. 102Q Parent Association planted the bulbs at the 55-24 Van Horn St. school on Nov. 3 that were donated by New Yorkers for Parks, a nonprofit organization.  The non-profit has been in existence for over 100 years and aims to protect and promote open spaces across New York.  In 2001, the organization established The Daffodil Project,…
