Police seek wallet thief who snatched debit card from deli patron in Ridgewood

Oct. 30, 2023 By Emily Ramos Police from the 104th Precinct are searching for the thief who stole a man’s wallet in Ridgewood on Sunday, Oct. 15.  The 54-year-old victim and owner of the wallet told police on Tuesday, Oct. 17, he was inside of Zabka Deli, located at 66-51 Fresh Pond Road, on Oct. 15, when he noticed his wallet had fallen. Woman killed in Springfield Gardens collision: NYPD

Oct. 30, 2023 By Bill Parry A woman was killed and a man was injured during a chain reaction crash in Springfield Gardens on Sunday, Oct. 29. Police from the 105th Precinct responded to a 911 call of a vehicle collision at the intersection of Guy R. Brewer Boulevard and Rockaway Boulevard just before 2 p.m. on Oct. 29 and found a 54-year-old woman unconscious and unresponsive. EMS arrived to the crash site and transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. Her identity is pending family notification.
