Man sought in burglary of a Bell Boulevard restaurant in Bayside: NYPD

Nov. 27, 2023 By Bill Parry Police from the 111th Precinct in Bayside are looking for a man who burglarized a Bell Boulevard restaurant in broad daylight just blocks away from the station house last week. The suspect entered Laterna Estiatorio & Catering, located at 47-20 Bell Blvd. in Bayside, five blocks south of Northern Boulevard, through a backdoor just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Once inside, he removed approximately $60 in cash, credit cards and personal items before running out of the eatery in an unknown direction, police said. Nov. 17, 2023 By Bill Parry A city Department of Education employee was arrested Thursday, Nov. 16, and charged with attempted kidnapping and other crimes for allegedly trying to abduct a 15-year-old girl who was walking to school in Cambria Heights on Nov. 15, according to authorities.
