Nov. 29, 2023 By Bill Parry Police from the 110th Precinct in Elmhurst and Transit District 20 are looking for the three teenage boys who allegedly threw ice at an on-duty MTA subway conductor as she was operating the train doors at the Woodhaven Boulevard subway station during the afternoon of Saturday, Nov. 18. Police say the three boys threw ice at her, striking her in the face before running out of the station in an unknown direction, police said. Nov. 28, 2023 By Bill Parry Police from the 110th Precinct are looking for a gunman and his three accomplices who robbed a corner deli in Corona on Nov. 26. Police say the robbery crew entered Red Delicious Deli & Grocery just before midnight when the ringleader pulled out a handgun and demanded cash. A 22-year old store worker and his fellow employee, a 32-year-old man, complied and the robbers left with $12,000 in cash and MetroCards, police said. Crunching the Queens crime stats: felony assaults rise as grand larceny incidents decline

Nov. 15, 2023 By Ethan Marshall Felony assaults have increased throughout Queens year-to-date, compared to the same period in 2022, according to the latest crime stats released by the NYPD. At the same time, grand larceny has been on the decline. Felony assaults were up 16.5% in northern Queens for the year through Nov. 12, rising from 2,184 in 2022 to 2,544 in 2023.  In southern Queens, felony assaults rose 5.8% for the year through Nov. 12, from 2,354 to 2,490.
